Making Rest More Accessible

Not every person who genuinely needs a restorative stay can afford even a low-cost contribution. Where donor funding or designated sponsorship is available, Hospitality & Refuge may offer subsidised or fully sponsored stays to qualifying guests.

Possible qualifying circumstances

• Severe financial hardship
• Referral from an approved Wings For The Nations programme
• Caregiving exhaustion or family hardship where quiet accommodation is appropriate
• Mission or charitable service with limited resources
• Transition between services or travel arrangements
• Other circumstances assessed by the Hospitality team

Important distinction

A subsidised hospitality stay is still a hospitality service. Guests who require secure shelter, protection from violence, residential rehabilitation, medical stabilisation or specialised mental-health care should be referred to the appropriate service rather than placed in hospitality accommodation as a substitute.
