Wings For The Nations is a non-profit charitable organisation committed to improving lives and strengthening communities through practical, compassionate and sustainable programmes. Hospitality & Refuge is the organisation’s dedicated hospitality programme for people and groups seeking peace, temporary accommodation, rest and renewal.
The programme is built around a simple conviction: rest, safety and human connection matter. A quiet environment can give a weary person room to think, a family space to reconnect, a traveller a secure place to stay, and an organisation an atmosphere in which meaningful conversations can happen.
Our mission
To provide safe, peaceful and affordable hospitality that gives individuals, families, travellers and organisations space for rest, reflection, nourishment, connection and renewal while supporting the wider charitable mission of Wings For The Nations.
Our vision
A trusted hospitality centre where people from different walks of life can find dignity, peace, security and a restorative environment, and where sustainable operations help extend compassionate support to people with limited financial means.
Our non-profit commitment
Income, donations, grants, gifts and approved guest contributions received through Hospitality & Refuge are intended to support the programme’s charitable objectives, legitimate operating costs, maintenance and future development. No part of the programme’s assets or income is intended for private distribution or personal benefit outside lawful programme and operational requirements.
Our hospitality model
Welcome -> Settle -> Rest -> Reflect -> Reconnect -> Renew -> Return
The Centre is not designed to pressure guests into a fixed programme. Instead, it creates a respectful environment where each guest can use their time according to the purpose of the stay, the available facilities and appropriate house guidelines.
Our guiding values
- Dignity - Every guest should be treated with respect, privacy and courtesy.
- Peace - The environment should support quiet, order, rest and thoughtful use of shared spaces.
- Safety - Security, safeguarding, visitor management and clear guest rules are central to responsible hospitality.
- Compassion - We welcome people with sensitivity to the pressures, losses and responsibilities they may be carrying.
- Excellence - Simple or low-cost hospitality should still be clean, organised, dependable and professionally managed.
- Inclusion - Women and men, families, older persons and guests with different needs should be able to use the Centre with dignity.
- Community - Hospitality should create healthy connection without taking away a guest’s right to quiet and personal space.
- Stewardship - Resources, buildings, food and guest contributions should be managed carefully so the Centre remains sustainable.
- Renewal - The goal is not merely accommodation, but an environment that supports a healthier return to ordinary life.
